Can´t connect to Control Repository

I´m trying to Set de Vertion Control Repository Manager on a server on the Version Control Agent but allways get a message:

The Version Control Repository Manager, at 192.160.50.15, could not be accessed using the specified account and password.

User and password are correct.

Re: Can´t connect to Control Repository

I have the same problem. I did notice that if I install the "HP Version Control Repository Manager" on a server, it WILL connect and work when pointed to itself, but no servers will connect to any VCRM that isn't installed local to itself.

I have tried import the SSL certs, verified the username/password and so on. I have the latest VCRM and most of my servers are PsP 7.51.

Jim:

Finally after several tests, i found the solution, you need to create a user with Administrator rights (sim_admin), incluce in the domain administrator, then you need to login locally to version control repository manager: htps://ip_repositorymanager:2381, go to the section for security and include in the Administrator or operator sections, user Administrator for the domain is not allowed.

If you need more information just tell me.

Re: Can´t connect to Control Repository

Version Control requires the login credentials to have Administrator or Operator rights to the System Management Homepage (SMH) of the server running VCRM. This is not OS or domain level user rights but SMH authorization. This is set in the security settings of the SMH. You can create a userid with no special OS or domain level privilege and then place it into a group you have created like VCOperators. You then go into the SMH security settings and give that group "Operator" level authorization and it should work. The reason it works when you place userids into the Administrator OS group is because that group is automatically given Administrator authorization in SMH. Hopefully, that explains what you were seeing.

Re: Can´t connect to Control Repository

I have seeing the same issue. I don't understand how this would work with a standard domain account with full access, and then just stop all of a sudden. I was using this just yesterday, and have for years. What could make the VCRM unresponsive all of a sudden?

As mentioned with the initial post, the username and password are correct.
