Can't show System Management Pages link in HPSIM Console
Thanks all your help.
Current config:
Version: Systems Insight Manager 5.1 with SP1 on Windows 2003
Build version: C.05.01.00.02
And I installed the HP Management Agents 7.9.1 on a VMware ESX Server 3.x host.
But I found that the HPSIM console can't show the System Management Pages link when I click that host's "Tools & Links" tab like the: HP server agent; HP NIC agent etc...
Then I try to direct connect that host's System Management Pages, no problem found, everything can be show on this webpage.
And then I try run the "Identify Systems" on this host, the output show this:
"Checking for known running web servers. Checking for System Management Home Page and other HP web agents. The System Management Homepage is not supported on this system."
For other Windows host are working fine without this problem.
How can identify and solve this problem?
Thanks for your help
Patrick

Re: Can't show System Management Pages link in HPSIM Console
Hi Patrick,
You'll need to open up TCP port 2301 inbound on the esx hosts via the esxcfg-firewall command and then run an indentify task against all the esx hosts. This allows the identify process to correctly identify that the SMH is installed and then it will appear within SIM.
