Cannot repair or configure agents on HP Dl360 server

Guys
this is my first post
Im clicking the Configure/Repair agents option in HP Sim 5.3 select server enter details - run now - then nothing

I click View task results
and i see
Configure or repair Agents status 0%
Install proliant Support pack status 0%
(these dont get past 0%)
Viewing details of the repair i get
Install Agent (START)....

Waiting for the required components to be located and copied....
Installing SNMP Agents using component cp009245.exe
Installing WBEM provider using component cp009379.exe
Installing System Management Home Page using component cp009426.exe[IF REQUIRED]

Also i have tasks called
hardware status polling for servers and
hardware status polling for non servers running
both run to 100% and then they start again while the repair agent install is still not finished

Had the same issue from a HP 5.2 install - so thought reinstalling with 5.3 will fix it
Rebooted the affected server sand insight server but still no good

Download and install manually latest Proliant Support Pack (8.15B at the moment) on the target server.
Then uncheck installation of components, but on the second page make configuration as neccesary.
It should work this way.

i'll try this but ive got 100 servers and its got teh same error on any server i try to configure / repair agents too

Then double - check permissions and user rights. Possibly in global credentials on HPSIM. Or, you might have some antivirus which is blocking remote installs, I know for sure Symantec 11 will do that.

Hi,

Check the agent software against the target hardware.

If you can not install it manually, then there is likely other issues on the target OS.

Its been running fine for nearly 2 years since hp sim 5.1/5.2 but its developed a fault just cannot repair the agent settings to the servers even though already have it from previously

Hi,

If this is happening across multiple managed servers, then its likely your CMS. Can you fire up an VM session and have an SIM 5.1/5.2 and test to eliminate the chance its teh agent?

ok setup a seperate VM server and it it does hte same thing on most of the servers
Installing SNMP agents using comp.. cp009245.exe

then its just sits there ive waited 10mins already

This is a Nt4 server PC330 but its detected as Unmanaged could this be why?
but its also done this on Dl360/g3 servers and ive also checked force downgraded or reinstall same version

You are trying to use agents on an NT4 box that are only supported on Win 2003 or 2008.

The last PSP with NT4 support was 6.31 (June 2004)

The last PSP with 2000 support was 7.60
(Sept 2006)

Right, Ive created a new Insight Manager Server.
I have downloaded HP sim5.3, If I wanted to install SNMP agents onto a NT4 box aswell as the 2000/2003 how would I do this
