Cannot subscribe to WBEM events

HP SIM 5.02, Windows 2003 SP1.

When trying to register for events on our EVA manager bladeserver i get the following error:

Host URL to connect to is = https://172.17.2.30:5989/cimom

FAILED to create indication subscription.
********************

I have no other problems related to this server in SIM, wbemdisco runs fine.

I presume that the connection fails because the URL has IP address and the server certificate require fqdn.

How do i force the subscription to use names?

HPSIM only supports wbem indication Integrity servers running 11.23 with SysFaultMgmr installed.

The answer to your other question concerning how to get HPSIM to fully qualify the DNS name:

In order to fully qualify the name in HPSIM navigate to Options > Security > System Link Configuration. You will see a bullet To use systems full DNS name.
