Change Event Status to "In Progress" Manually

Is it possible to manually change an event's status to In Progress versus just Cleared or Not Cleared?

I assign service records along with their SR #'s to events' Comments sections whenever work is to be performed to resolve the event. Since the work is "In Progress" I was wondering if I could change the status to represent this.
