Forgive me if this is a stupid question but my brain is now fried.
I'm new to SIM 5 SP5 and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make it stop paging me every time my tape library door is opened or closed!! In older versions you could drill down through tasks and tell it not to notify on particular events. I cannot find similar settings in this version.
Help!!

Solution
I presume you are getting the 16027 trap. You can create an event handler to automatically clear these events.
Go to Options->Events->Automatic Event Handling->New Task
Give your task a name, then:
Select event: where "event type" is "Proliant Storage Events->External Tape Library Door Status Change (16027)"
Select system: whatever system(s) is generating the traps
Select actions: "Clear Event"
Cheers,
Gary

Re: Change notifications in SIM 5
Thanks for your reply, Gary. That did the trick! FYI, it was event 5013 that was being reported.
Thanks,
Dan
