Clearing Event Log Errors

On my servers when I go into the System Management Home Page it indicates a failure as registerd in the log file. when I go into the log file I check the event and indicate mark selected items repaired and/or mark all items repaired. When I do this I am still left with some event that are not clearing.

Ideas?

Note my Homepage indicates: HP System Management Homepage v2.1.5.146

My Insight Manager is:
Version: Systems Insight Manager 5.0 with SP5 - Windows
Build version: C.05.00.02.00
Build date: 2006-05-23 11:07

I have the same problem as the OP'er. Daniel, can you be more specific as to where to check for the permissions you mentioned?

Re: Clearing Event Log Errors

In the server you have the log that you can not delete...look under CONTROL PAN>ADMIN TOOL>SERVICES select SNMP> under securite> the first field> name of communote> there it should be READ+WRITE or READ+CREAT,NOT JUST READ...and restart SNMP service after, or event if is READ+WRITE or READ+CREAT restart the services.
