Corrected Memory Error threshold exceeded - no snmp trap to hpsim???

Hi,

Last week, we had a system with bad memory. The IML showed this:
Corrected Memory Error threshold exceeded (System Memory, Memory Module 6)

ILO health state was degraded, but there was no snmp trap send to hpsim to notify us of the problem. We discovered it thanks to SCOM...

Has anyone seen this behaviour before? Is it possible for the ILO to send a snmp trap to hpsim in case of such a problem?

Thanks.

Check your snmp trap destinations on the snmp service. Also go to the control panel>Management Agents>SNMP Settings and try to send a Test trap. Then check with SIM and see if it was received.

there is a way to enble SNMP passthrough on the ILO. it is in the ILO Settings.

To back up Martin, that sounds like the SNMP Trap Destination has not been set.
The agents monitor the hardware and generate an snmp trap if they detect an error.

You don't need to send the alerts via the ILO.

Solution above worked for me.
