Critical Firmware Notification Traps

Hi All,

Is it possible to get traps sent to HP Sim when a server's firmware isn't up to date? I am using HP SIM v7.01.00.00 and VCRM v7.1.0.910.

For example, I have 'Server A' setup with Baseline configured to look at PSP 8.70 within the VCAgent and on SIM itself. All of the firmware matches the versions in the Baseline, except for the Network Drivers and the Network Config Utility. Can I configure SIM so that it checks to see if all the firmware matches the Baseline, and sends a trap when it finds that the NIC drivers\Config Utility are not at the version contained in the Baseline?

If so, how would I go about doing it?

Many Thanks,

Tom

Re: Critical Firmware Notification Traps

Hello there,

I believe that's default the case. I get an event every time an agent or server is restarted and the baseline is not fully up to date. Do you have snmp traps or wbem subscribtions setup?

Kind regards,

Andrew
