Critical alert from useruid (MAC address???)

Critical alert from useruid (MAC address???)

I keep getting critical errors displaying the useruid or MAC address and cannot locate this hardware. I don't receive any subsequent alerts that I can tie it to. I have HP SIM setup to monitor only by IP address. Does anyone know where this could be coming from?

The SmBIOS UUID is being displayed from a VMWare ESX server
