How can you run a Custom Command locally on target systems, because no matter what target I specify the command runs always locally on the CMS (worst, if I select multiple targets, it runs multiple times on the CMS)? I thought this was the reason for having OpenSSH installed on all the clients, that you can run specific commands in a Secure Shell on these targets, not only on the CMS?

Solution
Custom Commands only run on the CMS.
What you want to create is a Single-System Aware tool via a TDEF. There isn't a GUI to do this, you'll have to use the CLI (specifically MXTOOL) to do this. Look at the documentation for mxtool (in the Help) as well as the examples here on the forum for how to do this. I'll add that right now we don't do a great job documenting how to do it but it can be done. The upcoming 5.0 release includes better documentation on the process.

Dude, we've been totally misled by our album covers!
