Hi,
I have discovered several ILO Management Ports using their IP addresses and for each one I have manually edited the Preferred System Name in the system details to something more meaningfui (Server1_ILO). I have now tried to create a customised collection to add all these ILO ports. Now I find that when I look at the collection each ILO is being shown as it's IP address and not the amended name I gave it.
Does anyone know ifthis because each node was originally discovered by it's IP address and not it's Hostname?
Regards
Steve

Re: Customising Collections in SIM 5.3
Thanks Rob,
That looks like not having the ILO's in DNS is the problem. I will have to put up with having the IP addresses presented as any ILO is not put into DNS.
Points awarded.
