DL380 G2 5.3 Management Agents
Heres a spooky one for you!
DL380 G2 - installed latest support pack, however in Control Panel - it is showing as Compaq Management agent Version 5.3. everything shows as having successfully installed management agents, just doesn't seem to update Control Panel. I have tried the usuall uninstall/reinstall, also tried numerous versions of the support pack, including version prior to version 5.3. Curently has 7.5A installed.
Any Ideas?

Re: DL380 G2 5.3 Management Agents
All, sorted it :o) Details below
Issue:
When updating the HP Managment Agents from Version 5.x to 7.x, the Control Panel still shows as "Compaq Managment Agents", and also loads the older Version.
When running the setup of the latest support pack, its shows as having already installed the latest Version, and HP System Management Homepage also shows as latest Version - in fact, everything says its the latest version except the Control Panel!
Resolution:
Copy a working copy of the 7.x Control Panel Applet (cpqmgmt.cpl) over to the Server.
Reboot the Server into safe mode
Rename the cpqmgmt.cpl file located in C:\WINNT\System32
Copy the new cpqmgmt.cpl into C:\WINNT\System32
Reboot the Server and confirm that it works
Worked for me
Regards
Dan
