Daily Device Identification causing admin account to lock out

I am running SIM 5.1 sp1 with hotfixes on a w2k3 sp1 server and every day when the Daily Device Identification task runs we get a notification that an admin account has been locked out.

I can disable this task and the message goes away but I would like to keep this task enabled.

Has anyone else encountered this problem or know if there is a way to change the owner of this task to see if that helps? It is currently owned by mxadmin.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Do you have wbem enabled with global credentials?
You might want to check there. You could try just removing the wbem credentials if they're there.

Removing the global WBEM credentials seems to have been the cause. I will watch it over the next few days just to make sure.

I use wbem for my virtual servers, so I have wbem enabled globally and then enter server specific wbem credentials where required. A bit of a pain but I've seen a few issues where wbem can conflict with other data gathering in HPSIM.
