Database User- Rights

Hello.

We got the problem, that the database user (domain user with admin rights on the db) launched a database shrink, which had caused a lock of the complete database. (which is shared with different sources / applications)

Which user rights  are necessary for the HP SIM database to work properly?

Re: Database User- Rights

We found out that the mountpoint of the database was out of space.

Is there any way to prevent a automatically shrink of the HP SIM database?

We have changed the right to read/write only for the sql db

Re: Database User- Rights

Hello Pootch,

When you install SIM the databaserights  need to be sysadmin for the instance where you install the database. When the database is installed you have db owner rights. What the minimal rights need to be is not clear but db owner sounds right.

Kind regards,

Pootch-

yes, sql user should be a sysadmin at the time of SIM installation & then it can be downgraded to db owner to work HP SIM properly.
