Database is 58GB. How do I decrease size?

I will start out by saying I have no experience with SIM. It was installed on our server before my arrival and the database has reached 58GB. How do I shrink this database? This is SIM version 4.1 with SP1. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should be able to delete any old/unneeded events then do database maint using sql enterprise manager...

If you're using MSDE I am unsure of the tool you'll need to do the maintence

If you're using MS SQL, then make sure the recovery model is set to simple.

Most likely your have large transaction log, you need to shrink the transaction log file and change to simple recovery model
