My original problem was that I could not get SIM to pass variables through to Telalert.
The problem was answered in the link below and all was well.
http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=543181
Now that I have upgraded from HPSIM 4.x SPx to HPSIM 5.0 SP2, those variables no longer work. I found, through the help, that now to get the system name passed to alerting, %D is the system name where before it was %DEVICENAME%.
I cannot find a complete list of the "new" variables. None of my alerts work now because SIM does not recognize the old variables.
Please help.
THANKS!
-Dave

Re: Did Variables Change in 5.0 ?
The document that you reference is what I saw, but thanks for helping acquire the actual PDF file.
My issue is that there seem to many missing variables now. For instance, in 4.2 I used the variable %NOTICELABEL% to list the actual error. There is nothing like that in the "new" list of variables in 5.0.
Am I missing something?
