Disabling management of external array?

Hi folks - I have a DL386G2 with two Ultra3 drives in a mirrored array and an external Excel/Meridian SATA array connected to an HP Ultra3 PCI SCSI controller. Insight Manager is showing that the external array has a failed drive, but using the utilities that came with the array I've determined that the unit is working fine. I'm assuming that SIM doesn't know how to interrogate the unit or there is possibly a MIB problem. This is causing SIM to display a major hardware failure icon. I can disable the SCSI Information service in the host's management agent control panel but then I won't have monitoring of the internal HP drives. Does anyone know how to disable monitoring of just the external array?
