Discovery doesn't find ILO
Hello,
We have two ESX servers (5.1 with the HP image 'HP-ESXi-5.1.0-standard-iso) where discovery doesn't recognise the ILO management interface. During discovery the following warning is displayed:
Minor: The discovered server cannot be associated with its management
processor. For Windows and Linux, verify that the supported HP
Insight Management Agents or WBEM provider is installed on the
server. For HP-UX, verify that the WBEM Services version has the
Management Processor provider. Also, verify that the management
processor has been discovered in HP SIM.
The serial number is correctly discovered. When I manually discover the management processor, it is discovered but attached to a dummy server with the serial number as name.
Anyone knows how I can solve this problem?
Joost

Re: Discovery doesn't find ILO
Hello,
I would restart your CIM Server through the Vsphere client > Configuration > Security Profile > then retry the discovery again on your host first.
are the server gen 8s?

Re: Discovery doesn't find ILO
Hello,
I restarted CIM, but that didn't help. The servers are DL380 G6's, and I'm using SIM 7.4.
Attached is the output of the identification job. I don't see anything wrong in there.
