Does HP-SIM 6.2 support SQL server 2008 or HP-SIM 6.3 support SQL server 2005

The documentation just says:

- for HP-SIM 6.2 it supports SQL server 2005

- for HP-SIM 6.3 it supports SQL server 2008

Does this mean we have to upgrade the database and HP-SIM together or could one go before the other?

Also: What kind of database privileges does the database user need for the upgrade? When I try to upgrade it states that it doesn't have enough database permissions. But I cannot find anywhere which permissions it needs.

From HP Insight Software 6.3 Support Matrix (http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c02786379/c02786379.pdf)

• Databases:
◦ Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Standard and Enterprise SP4
◦ Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Standard and Enterprise SP2
◦ Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express SP2
◦ Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard and Enterprise
◦ Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 Express
◦ HP PolyServe SQL consolidation database (only Systems Insight Manager)
◦ Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition Release 2 (only Systems Insight Manager)

As for permissions: Easiest it to grant full permissions on the SQL server (create DB?) for the account used during the upgrade and then cut back to normal permissions after the upgrade. After a few 100+ installs and upgrades I found that to be the path of least resistance.
