Does HP SIM 6.2 supports SNMP v3 or not?

Hello all,

I have a HP SIM 6.2 on Win 2008 Server. It will monitor several Windows and Linux hosts. My questions is:
Does HP SIM 6.2 support SNMP v3 to Linux agents? Does Linux agents for HP Proliant (Proliant Support Pack 7.90)supports SNMP v3?

I am beginner in HP SIM and I cannot found this feature clearly described in documentation. My previous task - HP Procurve switches and HP ProCurve Manager supports SNMP v3. So I suppose that HP SIM may be support it too, but I am not sure.

Thank you very much in advance.

No. HP SIM is built to use the standard Microsoft-provided SNMP stack on Windows which supports SNMPv2C (community-string security).

Thank you David.

There is a version of HP SIM for Linux.

Is this version supports only SNMP v1/2 too?
