Duplicate Server entries in HP SIM 5.1
Hello,
we installed HP SIM 5.1 a few weeks ago on a new server. Disabled the old HP SIM installation.
After that we run a discovery on every ip ranges - everything works fine.
Now I created some reports and recognized that some servers are duplicate.
There are two entries for the same machine - no difference between it.
Can somebody help?
Thanks.
Mel

Re: Duplicate Server entries in HP SIM 5.1
Are you using both wbem for the data collection? In other words have you got wbem enabled globally with credentials added?
I've seen wbem collect data in a different manner to that provided by the agents resulting in multiple lines.
I only use wbem for servers where I'm not getting the data from agents etc. e.g. virtual servers that don't have snmp or hp agents installed.

Hi,
yes - WBEM is active.
But it doesn't matter for 97 % of the servers. The 3 % are duplicate in the report.
