Duplicate Server's in SIM
I'm finding that i have multiple instances of the same server with Systems Insight Manager. When i go to purge them all i am unable to delete all instances. Anyone else seen this or know a fix? I'm running HP SIM 5.2 SP2.
Thanks,
Ryan
Thanks,
Ryan

Re: Duplicate Server's in SIM
hi
try this:
From HPSIM, delete the entry with their system name, and run manual discovery of the system name again.
Check that DNS is correct (forward and reverse)
hope it helps

Re: Duplicate Server's in SIM
Hi Ryan,
Try removing the node from cli:
/opt/mx/bin/mxnode -r
then try adding
/opt/mx/bin/mxnode -a -w
and then try to list if this has all the parameters for the node added.
/opt/mx/bin/mxnode ├в ld
Thanks

Re: Duplicate Server's in SIM
I ran the command you recommended and looks like it worked but when i check back in SIM...those objects are still there.
