EMAIL stopped working from HPSIM 5.1

All, email stopped workign this morning for some reason, so I followed the follwoing steps:
stop the HP SIM service and run mxinitconfig -r to delete all the configuration and then mxinitconfig -a to get a clean configuration.

Now ehn I try to get access to the homepage, instead of goignto the login page as usual it goes here:
https://managementserver:50000/mxportal/home/j_security_check

I have tried the user I usually login in as and the install account and teh login fails (Sign-In Failure) Can anyone help?
