Email Notifications

Hi,

I hope somebody can help. I have setup a task to email me when I have any event. I have done this by OPTION, EVENTS, AUTOMATIC EVENT HANDLING, MANAGE TASKS. The event type I have selected is everything, the systems are Servers, printers, ups, router, The email settings are configured to send to me. I've enabled forward SNMP traps to my HP SIM Server, I've also selected clear event and write to log. I get no email messages but if I do a test SNMP trap from any of my servers I get the message but it won't clear I just keep getting it. I have created a task just to clear all events but I still get the message. Can somebody tell me what I've done wrong.
