Error while trying to delete a collection

Hi,

I'm trying to remove an empty collection in HPSIM V5 and I get this error message:
Invalid transaction because the session user DOMAIN_NAME\username (real values removed) is not authorized to perform this transaction.

this user has full rights and I've used it to create the collection....

any ideas?

Thanks a lot

Denis

Do they have all tools? If not, they might be able to create, but not delete.

Re: Error while trying to delete a collection

In Options > Security > Users and Authorizations :

- Users tab : User ADMSIM has full configuration rights

- Authorizations tab :

User/User Group Toolbox Systems

sim\ADMSIM All Tools CMS
sim\ADMSIM All Tools All Managed Systems

Error Message when trying to delete a private sub-collection : "Invalid Transaction because the session user sim\ADMSIM is not authorized to perform this transaction"

I've another administrator account on SIM, with same rights, and he's able to delete his own collections.

Re: Error while trying to delete a collection

I found a turnaround :

- Make sure you have another admin account with full rights on the CMS
- Log in with this second admin account
- Go to options > security > user and authorizations > user tab.
- Delete the "corrupted" user account => you will also lose his toolbox + authorizations
- Create a new one (same name allowed)
- Log in with the new user, creating / deleting private collections should be OK.

I was a bit worried to do this because this account was the one i used to install SIM ... and i tought it could be really bad to delete this one, but everything seems to run fine now.
