Re: Errors in Serial Number
1) To set serial number and product id you need to go to BIOS setup -> Advance Options and set them. This can be done directly or via Remote console into the server via iLO.
2) Make sure SNMP service is running on the server
3) SNMP: MAke sure the option "Accept SNMP packets on all hosts" is selected.
3) Re-identify the server if it does not work, delete and re-disocover the server
Hope this helps
Thanks
Deepak

Re: Errors in Serial Number
I have attached the example. About HSIM, the S/N appears in the end ÿÿÿÿ and in System Management Homepage the S/N is correct (without ÿÿÿÿ)
Also I he check, that this error is for all the servers that HSIM reports as PROLIANT
I have updated the Insight Manager Agent to 7.5 (OS is W2K SP4) and the problem is the same.

Re: Errors in Serial Number
Can you reset the Serial Number on the BIOS again? Just write down the serial number and Product Id on the paper. Clean the fields, reboot and put them back.
Btw, are these c-class or p-class servers? If c-class , can you please check what the On Board Administrator is showing?

Re: Errors in Serial Number
I have solved my problem adding spaces in target in the S/N on BIOS. The field BIOS has a size of 16 characters, my S/N has 12 characters and add 4 spaces.
Thanks
