Every day "A Service Incident has been reported (Type 2)" in major uncleared events.

Hello everybody!
We have HPSIM Version C.05.03.00.00.
And every morning we have messages in the major uncleared events saying "A Service Incident has been reported (Type 2)" and "Generic trap (11003)".
The appear every day at the same time.
Does anybody know how to stop this?

Thanks for your efforts

Daniel

Hi Daniel

It seems to me someone is sending your SIM a SMNP trap every morning. (Maybe the coffee-machine? ;-)

You can disable the handling of this type of SNMP-trap, but then other events of the same type will be ignored as well.
1) click on the "Generic trap" event
2) scroll all the way down to "Mib Information" and note the MIB file name and identifier
3) got to Options->Events->SNMP Trap Settings
4) select the appropiate trap and set "Enable Trap Handling" to "No"

The "Service Incident" gets created from the "Generic Trap" event, so this should stop as well.
