Exclusion List

I keep loosing my ping exclusion ranges each time I log out of SIM. Anyine have any ideas?

Alright so you all must think I'm crazy, maybe so but it's happening. SIM 5 with latest SP, Widows 2003 Enterprize addition, SP1. Very large network, aprox 800 Windows servers, 800 Linux servers, not to mention a mixture of AIX and Solaris, switches routers SANS and over 20,000 workstations. So I need the exclusion range to work. As it is, my SQL database is almost 50 GIGS

Post your inclusion and exclusion ranges exactly as you have them in HP SIM so we can see what you are doing.

this is exactly as it appears when it shows. I added these back at about 9am, they are still present and they may stay for a day or two and then poof there gone. Presently I am the only admin so no one is removing them. I Didn't have this problem on the test box.

Hi Arthur,

A few weeks ago I posted a condition which I had seen on my own server, in which a ping exclusion list over a certain length (I think it was something like six lines, but that's only a guess from memory) would not be saved by SIM. I never got any response to that, but I had already solved the problem by creating a template instead and just specifying the name of the template in the Exlusion field.
