Filter Messages

Dear all,

we are using HP SIM 5.0 SP5 to check our hardware systems all over the world.

we've configured a email notification for critical events.

sometimes we are receiving mails like those:

Critical Rising Threshold Passed (10007): Server Critical Event
cpqHoFileSysPercentSpaceUsed.6

ATA Disk Drive Status Change (14004):
ATA Disk Status: other

how can i filter those messages and why can't SIM read the actuall ATA Disk Status?


additionally, is it possible to improve the Hardware Status Polling - because if a system is not reachable by ping we are receiving a "System is unreachable" message. but it would be better, if we are receiving this message if the hardware status polling failed for example 2 hours.
