For Michael Garner - SPP - How To Completely Automate using HPSUM.EXE and using C:\Repository
For Michael Garner - SPP - How To Completely Automate using HPSUM.EXE and using C:\Repository
What I am trying to accomplish and CAN'T after MUCH MUCH trial and error:
I am trying to use hpsum.exe command line switches to install ALL APPLICABLE components of SPP for a proliant dl380 gen8 with USE_LATEST and using default "additional" repository of C:\Repository (as is in hpsum GUI) to COMPLETELY emulate and replace having to use the gui
I can't seem to get all my switches right
requirements re-stated: install ALL applicable SPP components, DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL ALL LATEST components from ftp.hp.com , INSTALL ALL APPLICABLE SILENTLY, ESPECIALLY using C:\Repository as additional repository to default which I launch from c:\spp (default location with standard/default install code from latest SPP CD ISO )
GOAL: COMPLETELY AUTOMATED INSTALL OF ALL LATEST SPP COMPONENTS AND ALL APPLICABLE COMPONENTS
PROBLEM: NOT ALL COMPONENTS ARE INSTALLING - SO WHEN I OPEN LOCAL HP SYSTEM MANAGEMENT HOMEPAGE, ALL THE LITTLE "GOODIES" ARE NOT SHOWING UP - ALL THE HP SERVICES ARE "NOT" BEING INSTALLED - DON'T WANT TO USE THE SLOW GUI
SAMPLES I HAVE TRIED BUT TO NO AVAIL:
hpsum /use_latest /allow_non_bundle_components /silent
hpsum.exe /silent /dryrun /current_credential /allow_update_to_bundle /allow_non_bundle_components /use_latest /use_web /use_d /use_snmp /use_wmi /use_ams /continue_on_error FailedDependencies /override_existing_connection /logdir "TEST002"
