Hello all,
we are trying to setup newes IRS 7.0.5.0188 together with HP SIM 7.1 (october 2012 patches) together to monitor HP servers (including Gen8) using Wbem system.
Unfortunatelly, meny of our server refuse to work with IRS - Monitoring & Collections not working. Are there any user guides / best practises how to configure IRS with servers?
Second problem we have with HP SIM, we want to use Wbem to monitor servers, unfortunatelly it refuse to identify system with wbem credentials (which are OK). Are there any known issues like this? Needs Wbem to be carefully configured on each server?
Many thanks for your help.
Jan

Re: HP IRS 7.0.5 and HP SIM 7.1 problem
Just upgrade to 7.0.5.0196 will solve most of the issue .
To be monitor successfully , you need to go to the interation adapter and tick hpsim .
Then you need to do a manaul discovery . And entitle the C/W status by key in the S/N and P/N .
For WBEM . IRS 7.0.5 need time to pull the info from hpsim .
To check if your irs 7.0.5 working correctly , just go to administrator setting -> version control -> check for update
If you got the message "failed to download manifest" .... reinstall your irs software.... tht's the only workaround I've been through .

SolutionHello,
thanks for information, but whare can I get version 7.0.5.0196? At software depot there is only 7.0.5.0193 available, upgrading our version to this .193 did not change anything, still not working wbem conection to many servers...

Re: HP IRS 7.0.5 and HP SIM 7.1 problem
Hello all,
our problem was solved by instaling the same software on different server - G7. Original one was BL465c Gen8 and there was HP DataProtector Cell server installed. Now it sudenly works - maybe DP was the issue, maybe Gen8 features...
