HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service

After installing PSP 7.80A I will get a message stating that a Service failed to start. In looking through the Services on the Windows 2003 R2 SP1 Server I see the HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service has not started. If I try to start it I receive an error message stating that the C:\Windows\System32\cpqrcmc.exe file is missing. If I look at the cp007343.exe and extract the files there is no cpqrcmr.exe file included.

Re: HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service

Not tried it with the R2 release but I found re-installing that component worked for W2K3.

It looks like there's a change in how this is installed and the new remove / install procedure doesn't seem to be quite there.

Re: HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service

Take the cp007314.exe out of the repository directory to install "HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service" manually.

The PSP7.80A seems to be as buggy as the last one also....

Re: HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service

Hi,

when I installed PSP7.80A I got the same error , to fix the problem I went into HP management Agents -> Event notifier config and found it was cleared. I re-input the servername , e-mail address etc and now everything is back to normal.

Re: HP ProLiant Remote Monitor Service

I have the same issue with Windows 2003 Ent Ed. R2 SP2 x64 with PSP 7.8

I installed the component manually and this seemed to fix it.
