HP SIM 5.0 and paging

I'm setting up paging for one of our admins in another office and I'm receiving the following error when I test it:

"Did not receive expected response from modem dial command. Phone: 10digitmobilenumber@msg.telus.com Pin:"

10digitmobilenumber@msg.telus.com is the string on the Telus site and we have gotten this to work when testing the modem directly, but when I use this in HP SIM, I get the above message.

In the Pager Information section of the admin's profile in Users and Authorizations I've configured the phone number to read 10digitmobilenumber@msg.telus.com. There is nothing in the PIN number section (there isn't one, as far as I know). Message length, Buad rate and Data format are at default.

What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
