HP SIM 5.0 upgrade / CA Unicenter

I currently use my HP SIM 4.2 to monitor about 300 HP servers. CA Unicenter pulls from my SIM. So you know if there are any issues with HP SIM 5.0 and CA Unicenter? Also, should I perform an upgrade, or a clean install?

You shouldn't experience any issues with using the two. Being that it is easier to upgrade than do a fresh install, do the upgrade. I've been just doing the upgrades. The only time I did do a fresh install was when I decided that we had to move HPsim over to another server. I just wanted a clean fresh install.
I have Netcool pulling from HPSIM.

You will find many threads in this forum about upgrades from 4.2 to 5.0 that failed : the inventory and the reports were no longer working, it was my case.
In such situation the only solution was to clear the SQL DB and import back all the servers and recreate all the collections / tasks / users. Lot of work.
But now it is ok.
