HP SIM 5.2 - the specified database account credentials are not valid

I try to update the HP SIM 5.0 to HP SIM 5.2 version on standalone server. But catch only "the specified database account credentials are not valid" message. The local SQL Express database used.
I can find only http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1204301401226+28353475&threadId=1204750
But this article can't help me resolve problem.

Is anybody else catch this situation?

Hi,
I have experienced this and it was because I didn't use the local admin and password credentials! Make sure you are using these!

I already used local admin credentials.
I tryed to switch from Windows Authentication to Mixed mode and use SA password, but still can't install SIM v5.2 :(
The SIM v05.00.02.00 still working fine on that server after upgrade MSDE to SQL Express 2005 and can work with database without any problems by using local admin credentials.

I ran into the exact same situation upgrading from SIM 5.1 to 5.2. Found that the fix for me was to go into the Local Security Policy or GPO for the server and disable the "Domain member: Digitally enctypt or sign secure channel data (always)" policy. It can be found in the Computer Configuration section under Security Settings\Local Policies\Security Options.

Two other local policy or GPO setting I forgot to mention which you may need to change are: "Network security: Minimum security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) clients" and "Network security: Minimum security for NTLM SSP based (including secure RPC) servers". I had to make sure nothing was checked on these settings.

Hello.

I am running the following.
HP SIM 5.1 SP1 is running on Windows 2003 SP2
The database is located on another server, Windows 2003 x64 SP2 with SQL 2005 STD x64 SP2.

I get the same error.

I have tried all of the above solutions, but can't get it to work.

I wonder why, and would like to find a solution to this soon.

I don't want to rebuild my HP SIM server just to get up and running with 5.2.

I catch this problem with HP System Insight Manager version C.05.02.0o.00.
But error disappeared in C.05.02.01.00 version of this product.
