[HP SIM 7.2] HP Manage Report doesnt show all the assets

Hello,

I manage an important number of Windows asset (around 1500+).

Servers are well present in HP SIM main console, but when i request a report on some componants (eg : RAID card firmware, many assets doesnt appear).

If i go, in the main console, in one of the missing asset in the report, i can see clearly all the information missing (in the section Firmware And Software Revision in this case).

How can i force the report to display all my assets ?

Did you do an upgrade of an older version of SIM to this 7.2 version ?

No it's a fresh installation.

But i see the problem (but dont understand it).

For a server xxxx, i force a delete/discover.

discover was OK, i see all the data (i make this last friday)

This morning, the section "Firmware And Software Revision" missing.
I force delete/discover again on it, and the section re-appear (in the server have been added in the report).

Question : how can this section disapear ?

Hp gave me the solution to disable the Bi WeeklyDataCollection and cut them into 4 or more seperate jobs to even the load over 1 week . Can you check if the data goes missing after the Bi weekly Datacollection? You could also check the logs of the Data Collections to see if you have timeouts on servers/objects.

Seems to be this (like the task run this sunday morning at 0:00 AM)

The last result is :
565 Failed / 2430 Complete

And the failed correspond to servers missing information.
But i have no Stdout or Stderr for each failed :w

I will study a way to reduce the scope into many small.

You can also try to extend the time your protocols can take for discovery. Problem is that the Data Collection can take a lot longer if the systems are slow. But no info also has it's problems...
