HP SIM 7 - connect to management processor (iLO)
hi,
I installed my HP SIM 7 and monitor all HP-servers (DL-series) with Windows OS. The iLO's are in a separate network and so I created firewall rules for port 80 and 443. On HP SIM all management processors status FAILED.
What can I do?
Thanks
Otti

Re: HP SIM 7 - connect to management processor (iLO)
If from your sim server you are not able to ping any of the ilo ip's because they are on a separate network, and if you are sure that it isn't something on the host based firewall, then you need to get with your networking team to see if there are acl's in place that are blocking them. I had the same issue and my networking team had to create an acl rule to open up th sim server ip to all of the ilo ips on a different network.
