HP SIM - Credentials Details

Hi guys,

Looking to get more detail on what exactly each set of credentials is used for. For example, SNMP credentials (i.e.. SNMP community strings) are used to status poll the snmp agents on servers and retrieve information. WBEM credentials are used for systems running WMI providers or WEBEM compatible. Certificate trust seems to be needed for software status polling. What are sign-in credentials need for?

Sign-in credentials are needed for logging into the cms/managed node system inorder to execute discovery processes or tools or some services. This is usually requested by the CMS server to the managed nodes. Hope the statement is clear
