HP SIM Error: Target System cannot be polled

Hello,

I get this error on some servers:

HP SIM ->configure->manage communications->quick repair give this error:
Configuration of agents started, waiting for it to be completed.
Configure Agents and Providers (START) ...
Error: Target System cannot be polled

And "advice and repair menu" give:
HP SIM can only run SSH based tools. The system(s) do not have System Management Homepage (SMH) installed and system(s) that require a trust relationship are not configured to trust HP SIM

However SMH is installed and i use it.
Any idea because i am lost now ?
I have checked DNS,reinstalled ssh/openssl/wbem/sysmgtbase,...

Thanks.
Alain.

Re: HP SIM Error: Target System cannot be polled

What about SNMP, have you checked that? ensure the HPSIM Server is an allowed host.
Can you ping, by name, from the HPSIM Server itself?
What happens if you run an Identify task against the server? That may give an idea of what protocols it can find.

Re: HP SIM Error: Target System cannot be polled

This server is a parisc vpar hpux11.11.
After "mxnode -r -x force", i don't have anymore message "pooled fail" but i still can't get any graph with capacity advisor.
Each time i get "Error: No data has been collected for the specified workload."
I see that "SMH trust status is false" but i have specified to use it. SMH runs and SIM server certicate is found in "SMH->settings->security". I have run also SIM->configure->manage communications->quick repair->selected "Use an HP SIM WBEM certificate (good for 10 years". and selected " Set Trust relationship to "Trust by Certificate" "

result is ok but i can't still get graph profile :( (utilprovider is running)

Re: HP SIM Error: Target System cannot be polled

Hi,
Now it's ok after rebooting SIM server.
