HP SIM Kerberos Authentication
Hello,
I'm using a specific service account for the Discovery and noticed on my Domain Controllers lot of NTLM authentication
I'd like to use kerberos as authentication protocol
I already tried smhconfig.exe -k True to enable Kerberos but still have lot of events regarding NTLM
Thank you for your help

Re: HP SIM Kerberos Authentication
Hello,
I only do a WBEM discovery for my donain controllers. This works just fine for me. Do you set sign-in credentials?
Just for monitoring purposes you do not need sign-in credentials.
Do gou have an example of the error you see?
Kind regards,
Andrew

Re: HP SIM Kerberos Authentication
Hi,
Thanks for your answer
The System Credentials configuration is SNMP/WBEM/Sign-in
I've enabled NTLM auditing on my DCs and that's how I found that the Discovery is using NTLM

Re: HP SIM Kerberos Authentication
Hello again,
If you delete the sign-in credentials do they get added again because the Sign-in credentials are globaly set?
This would happen if you run a datacollection or identify. You do not need sign-in credentials for just monitoring.
Kind regards,
Andrew
