HP SIM Losing connection to database when remote server reboots
Our SQL server has a reboot schedule twice a week (not my decision, trust me)
When it reboots, the HP SIM Service loses connection to the database (obviously) But doesnt reconnect until the service is restarted. Is there any way to make it reconnect when the SQL server comes back up?

Re: HP SIM Losing connection to database when remote server reboots
Preston,
we use remote SQL server too,
currently we have HPSIM 5 and we don't do anything when SQL server restarted - HPSIM automatically continue work after SQL going up. I think with HPSIM 4.2 we see same behaviour.

Re: HP SIM Losing connection to database when remote server reboots
We use HPSIM with a central SQL cluster.
When the virtual SQL server is failed/moved, HPSIM mostly reconnects - but sometimes not. If not, service has to be restarted or HPSIM rebooted.
