HP SIM Problems
Hi team,
I have just configured HP SIM on one server and have some problem with it:
1- HP System Management Homepage does not display anything on Win2000 managed servers!
2- For Auto Event Handling, I've set sending email, but it does'nt work and not send email to recipient.
Any help or suggestion?
Thanks.

Re: HP SIM Problems
For 1. Check the version of the agents and SMH installed. W2K is quite oldd, but you should get some data.
For 2. Have you configured HPSIM to use the Mail Server? That should be part of the initial configuration. From the HP SIM Server check connectivity using the CMD window, just Telnet to the mail server on port 25, you should be able to type HELO and get a response. If not or you get access errors then see your e-mail admins.

Re: HP SIM Problems
Hi Rob,
I made Telnet to SMTP server and received HELO response.
But i have yet an error message on the event handler result like this:
"Sending failed. Could not connect to SMTP host: 172.31.1.80, port: 25. Connection refused: connect. Check E-mail settings."
Any suggestion?
Thanks.
