HP SIM - SNMP Trap Settings - Enable Trap Handling - CLI output
Hello
HP SIM V7.2
In the 'SNMP Trap Settings' you can check a MIB and what traps are configured.
One of the options is 'Enable Trap Handling' which can be 'Yes' or 'No'.
I was looking for a command to list all the traps and be able to search the output for all 'No' settings to quickly see if a missed trap is because of this setting.
Regards,
Marcel

Re: HP SIM - SNMP Trap Settings - Enable Trap Handling - CLI output
I found some info that may help:
Note: The changes made through the SNMP Trap Settings page, are saved to the HP Systems Insight Manager database only. The .CFG and MIB files are not affected.
This info was found in
http://www.hp.com/wwsolutions/misc/hpsim-helpfiles/mxhelp/mxportal/en/useTools_mib_edit.html
So the answer should be in the SQL database file, not sure where to look in the database but it's a start. I saw a table called trapVarbindData, could be something...
Kind regards,
Andrew

Re: HP SIM - SNMP Trap Settings - Enable Trap Handling - CLI output
Thanx Andrew,
thought it would be something like that.
Was hoping for a hidden or undocumented cli.
Will have a look at the databases.
Regards, Marcel.
