I can create the .CFG file (MCOMPILE powernet361.mib) - this completes OK.
The error occurs when I try to register the MIB (MXMIB -a powernet361.cfg). The full error text is as follows:
Error: File 'powernet361.cfg' Error reading MIB: TRAP-TYPE: Invalid severity Line: 16068
AN ERROR OCCURED EXECUTING THE COMMAND
I do not fully understand the structure of MIBs and have no idea what I am looking for.
Any MIB Guru's out there?
I have attached the file if it helps.
Martin

Re: HP SIM & APC UPS PowerNet 3.6.1 MIB
Have you since had any problems with newer MIB files from APC? I've been using HP SIM for some time, but I just now tried to put the latest PowerNet MIB on (3.8.1), and got the same error, except for line number.
Thanks,
Dennis Ward

Re: HP SIM & APC UPS PowerNet 3.6.1 MIB
I had problems with 3.8.0, but managed to fix them.
I have not tried 3.8.1 yet... I may look at this over the weekend.
I have attached my APC powernet 3.8.0 .mib & .cfg for you (they are in the .zip file)
Hope it helps in some way.

Re: HP SIM & APC UPS PowerNet 3.6.1 MIB
The 3.8.0 mib and cfg loaded just fine for me - Thanks.
I do, however, wonder how you got the APC devices to show-up in SIM. I setup InfrastruXure Manager to send SNMP traps to the SIM box, but I'm not seeing anything within SIM. And I have in fact had several events (ie 'On Battery Backup'). Did you encounter any related issues?
Thanks,
Dennis
