HP SIM database Schema
I am working on a data warehousing project as part of a graduate class (IS549) at DePaul university. My class project is a simple project which will extract data from the sim database put it through the ETL process and then make it available for query/analysis. Its an academic project, so please be patient with this request.
As part of extraction, I would like have a fact table that contains alerts for the week with dimension tables that provide device information.
I need an assist with my dimension model (star schema), what are the best table to pull information on polling and status?. I See the device table, DB_deviceCPU, DB_deviceinfo, DB_deviceInfoEx tables have valid information. Any other suggestions for the dimensional model?. Also where can I get my hands on the schema and a description of the tables?

Re: HP SIM database Schema
The reference I know about that covers descriptions of the tables etc. is the HPSIM User Guide - follow the attached link to the reference library;
