Just done a fresh install of HP SIM5 SP5,everything seemed to install fine. But when i have come to access the HP SIM web page, it just sits there saying Checking HTTP server status.
IIS is installed and running. There seems to a running process mxdomainmgr.exe that seems to be using a large amount of cpu cycles and there also seem to be a large amount of mxinventory.exe being spawned.
The HP SMH works fine and is reporting data correctly, on the CMS so i know SNMP is working. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Hi Andrew,
HP SIM starts the following service check before starting:
* SNMP Service
* SNMP Trap Service
* SQL Server Service (if local)
* HP Systems Insight Manager Service
Also check:
Set the SNMP Trap Service to Manual instead of Disabled.
1. In Windows, select Startâ Control Panelâ Administrative Toolsâ Servicesâ SNMP Trap Services and other services mentioned above.
2. Under the General tab, change Startup type to Manual.
3. Click OK.
Hope this answers!!!!!
Regards,
rmn

Re: HP SIM5 SP5 web page wont open
Ramesh, your a star.
Setting SNMP Trap to manual has resolved the issue. We had it disabled, now HP SIM is starting the web page login details.
Thank you
