HPSIM XML question regarding webpage link

Is it possible to have a 'tool' drop down selection that will open a web page? If so, what would the xml look like?

Under the 'Tools' menu item I have a category called 'Audit Report' that runs an audit. I'd like to also have a link to an internal webpage.

Thanks!

This would be a Web Launch Tool and an example can be seen in the Terminal Services Web Client posting at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=585814

HP WebJet Admin is also a web-based tool for printer administration. The add-in for it is also a good example of launching to a web page: http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/pscmisc/vac/us/product_pdfs/wja_sysinsightmgr_technote.pdf

Re: HPSIM XML question regarding webpage link

An excellent solution. I have one more question regarding a different tool. After choosing the tool SIM automatically forwards you to 'Step 1: selecting target systems'. Is there any way to skip this step using a default system to run the tool from?

Here's why; I've created a perl script that runs from a central location. It sshs to other boxes and executes returning stnd out. I have everything working within SIM but if I can drop 'Step 1' it will be faster and more user friendly. Thanks again!

To skip the target selection page, you can change the following attribute in your tdef.

This is also explained in the TDEF (tool definition files) section of the help file. The help file is online too.

The Information Library off http://www.hp.com/go/hpsim/ has all the man pages listed individually if you want to peruse that way.
