HPSIM won't start after installation on Fedora Core 4
hy all,
i've just tried to install HPSIM on a FC4 machine, installation goes right:
but when i do :
/opt/mx/bin/mxinitconfig -a
at the end i have this in my log file:

"HPSIM Initialization Starts at: Wednesday, August 2, 2006 4:53:24 PM CEST
ERROR - Cannot start HPSIM service or it is not operating properly
...............Failed
Exception :com.hp.mx.config.MxConfigException: Configuration failed to complete due to the following exception:
Cannot start HPSIM service or it is not operating properly
Details can be found in the log file at /var/opt/mx/logs/initconfig.log"

any idea on how to fix this ?

I do not think FC4 is a supported OS for the required Insight Agents. See this link for the technical specifications, including the supported OS listing:
