HPSIM6.2 can't receive snmp traps from ESX4.1

HPSIM6.2 I used can't not receive any snmp traps from ESX4.1 from sometime even the fans or network are removed. Before this, it was working fine. I don't know what's the problem...
I install hpmgmt-x.x.x-x-vmware4x.tgz on ESX4.1,and configure /etc/snmp/snmpd.conf as following:
rwcommunity public 127.0.0.1
rocommunity public 127.0.0.1
rwcommunity public 16.173.241.183(HPSIM's ip)
rocommunity public 16.173.241.183
trapcommunity public
trapsink 16.173.241.183 public

and comment out 'defaults requiretty' in /etc/sudoers.

The task results of discovery my ESX server is attached as ESX_Discovery.txt.

Part of /var/log/messages:

I am getting the same issue. I ahve raised the case in HP as well but not able to find any solution till not.

I have sent SNMP Traps from ESX4.1 server to HPSIM Application server and checked (using snmputil utility) that HPSIM Server is receiving those alerts but still HPSIM Application is not able to show them.

 

Can someone please look into this?

Nitin - what version of SIM are you using? and what version of agents? Any event filtering or event handlers?

 

We can't really look into it here as that would be a support call you'd need to make - however, maybe we can help you find a quick answer which could be advising you call support.

 

BTW: If I am to assume 6.2 is your version, have you applied the update kit and SP to it?
